"You cannot hope to build a better world without improving individuals."

The title of this post is a quote by Marie Curie, who dedicated herself for physics and more over donated herself to the mankind. She was not a mere scientist but a valuable human being.

She suffered a lot from the radiation from the radio active materials with which she was doing her research. Not only she, but, the whole family - Pierie, her husband, Irene and Eve, her daughters paid heavily for the radiation after effects.

The most important decision in Curies' life I felt was to give away the method of extracting radio active elements without patenting it, the time when radio active materials were in great demand. They would have become multi millionaires if they patented it.

There are countless people who dedicated their lives to the human race, but today in our country and in many other parts of the world, we are fighting each other, segregated by virtual walls like religion, state, caste and colour. Here comes the importance of history, people like our father, Mahatma Gandhi, lived and died for others; we are here quarrelling each other, selfish and greedy!
